[ TBOS TECH ] One Software, (Virtually) Any Form Factor

Even though you may see our iconic egg-shaped string cells everywhere, it’s just one of the many form factors the Tanktwo Battery Operating System (TBOS) supports.

We produce battery solutions in many shapes and forms.

We have designed and built a cassette-based, modular system for a client who wanted the ability to service the battery pack while it’s in operation. The cells are stacked geometrically, and the operator can insert or remove them even when the battery pack is active to achieve maximum serviceability and zero downtime.

We have designed and developed a stack board and the accompanying ultra-high-end battery pack for a client with extremely specific and strict requirements. It also runs TBOS, which enables the switched power path architecture so operators can activate and bypass cells on the fly without adjusting the hardware.

While all these form factors look different, they have the same software. They follow the same logic and use the same algorithm to balance and optimize various characteristics, such as reliability, ease of implementation, performance, and more.

Tanktwo’s software-defined battery technology gives product builders unprecedented flexibility to create battery packs that fit their equipment, not the other way around.
